  1. I am a new to video editing and am using Adobe Premiere Elements 10. One thing I have yet to figure out is matching up video to the audio. For example a moving mouth to lyrics as in a music video. I want to match up my audio file(song) with the video that is playing of an individual singing lyrics(moving his mouth). Any ideas/easy ways? If you need any other information let me know, all help is appreciated.

  3. Thanks a lot, I tried to do that and there is other background audio in the video so it doesn't have a waveform correlation to an mp3 audio. Also would it be be better to edit and make the whole video then match up the audio or to match it up as I go?

  4. I'm trying to sync more of a video(that has no audio to it) with just the mouth moving to an external audio clip.

Did the person lip-syncing use the original video as a model/guide?

  6. No but he used the original external audio, but was listening to it himself, all u can see is his lips and background noise in the video.

Well if he used the original as a model....Ii personally would use something like AviDemux or VDub to sync the new audio to the video(or vise versa). Both have the capabilities to easily adjust the audio sync.

  8. But there is no sound in the video, just his lips moving. Then I added sound(external audio) and want to match up an audio with a picture.

Add the video to VDub, then add "audio from an external source" and sync it up.....export as HuffyUV and WAV/PCM audio. You need to do a BIT of prep work first though. Try to match the start times of the video and audio and edit the audio to the same video clip length(or close to it).
I don't use premier so I don't know how easy or difficult syncing audio is in that one. I use Magix for really tough sync jobs where editing and syncing is involved.
