  1. Anyone use readyboost (Flash drive serves as Ram) useful to store the data (apps) in the flash drive rather than ram (prefetch).

I have installed a flash drive which is readyboost compatible, formatted and all, the problem is that i never see data stored in that flash drive so i'm wondering if it's really working. The Flash drive is 3.63GB and windows always report that size, i don't think it's working imo

    I run Win 7 ultimate

  2. I use ReadyBoost with an SDHC card on a netbook (WIN7 Starter). Just because the netbook only has 1 GB of RAM and I have extra SDHC cards. Supposedly it's working, that's what Windows says anyway. Dunno really how much it helps, I don't see a helluva lot of difference.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

  5. I've got it working now, the option wasn't enabled (properties>readyboost>dedicate this device to RB), i thought i did before (?!) , strange.
The gain speed is significative i must say everybody should try it

The full 3.6 Gb of space of my flash drive is now used, the file inside ReadyBoost.sfcache is crypted apparently so we can't see nothing which is a good point i guess.
Internet explorer: i click it open in 1 sec give or take
Xbmc: same 1 sec (even less i'd say)

I don't use ready boost and opening Internet Explorer is instantaneous. I use a black page as my home page. I don't love any particular site enough to want to see it every time I start a browser.
