    I don't suppose this should be a problem, but I've never tried it myself.

    Just make sure your output (MPG1) settings are correct.
    Also BE SURE to specify PROGRAM stream output rather than elementary stream output. This will ensure that you get a SINGLE mpeg file as a result (rather than one for audio and another for video).
