  1. Hello VideoHelp....

    I'm looking for Divx video file converter. Preferably to an Avi file. Any suggestions? There are probably a ton of the converters of which I am seeking but I thought I'd post here since you know of them better than I.

  2. .Divx is .AVI. Just rename the file. If you have a player that can't handle any additional streams you can remux just the streams you want with AviDemux or VirtualDub.

    That's if the OP is indeed trying to convert .divx files, though. The latest version of DivX does create MKV files, doesn't it? (I haven't tested it, so I don't even know if it makes Windows' Explorer see all MKVs as 'DivX Movies,' or something like that. )
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

  4. Yes, if the files are MKV he'll have to convert. The latest version of Divx can create h.264 in MKV, or MPEG 4 part 2 in AVI.
