Hey all,
I just tried to play 'Joy Ride' in my PC using PowerDVD, but it's giving an error message; telling me to perhaps clean the CD, but CD is already clean.
When trying to make a "backup" using SmartRipper v2.41, it having problems unlocking all the files.
...is this just a bad DVD or is there some kinda anti-PC protection on it ?!?

nope...just ripped joy ride couple days ago
try playing it again....also, with smartripper...u need to play the dvd for a couple of seconds before you can start ripping
either that....could be your copy of powerDVD...maybe you should switch to winDVD -
poppyhead,
It's not the DVD no, I just found that out myself.
...in fact I have a pretty good idea about what happend to my PC here.
I was playing around with Roxio VideoPack 5 the other day and the is a load of #$@%$ sh|t. After that was installed, I could not burn with another Roxio program (EZCD5) to any format of CDs. Uninstall VideoPack and everything worked again; except for DVD I guess, first time using that after messing around with VideoPack.
Booted into WinXP and now I can "backup" all I want again, so forget about 'DVD Ripping' problem - I'm having some sort of software (dll) conflict instead...
