  1. I have a canon powershot camera, and a samsung tv. I want to record a video from my canon camera, but want to watch what I am recording as I record it, to make sure I am doing it right. How do I do it?

it all depends on the camera you're using. Opps just realize you are using a digital camera and not an actual camcorder. I seriously doubt it, my powershot doesn't have that functionality.

Explain how you are "recording a video". What software?

Very few if any Canon Powershot's output live video at full frame rate. Explain more what you re trying to do.

  4. Some cameras have an A/V output. For example, this one:

    Check your manual.

On a typical Powershot, you can play a recorded video to the A/V out but the camera won't output live video at full frame rate.
