Try a mkv to mp4 tool like mkv2mp4 or rebox.net or gotsent.

Or if you want to shrink try VidCoder or Handbrake.

  5. i use both
but handbrake quality is good but take almost 4 hours,
vidcoder quality is not up to the mark but fast encoding (less than 1 hour),
so now i want more information about vidcoder, any hint..................

Vidcoder is based on handbrake so you should get same quality. But they might use different default settings and x264 profiles.

Try increase the video avg bitrate/bigger file size or use a lower constant quality value, and use a "slower" x264 preset for better quality. You find those settings under video in vidcoder.

If you want to shrink the size of the mkv while converting you can use something like handbrake or vidcoder like Baldrick suggests. If you just want to change containers, use gotsent. It's easy to use, and you can just copy the video stream to the new MP4 instead of converting it. This process takes only a few minutes. Not like transcoding which takes hours in most cases.
