    I have a rather large list of video files and would like to catalog them. I think that is what I want to do. Basically, just a list of the video files I have saved. I don't want to list them by hand. Too much work. Is there a trick or some free program that would allow me to cut and paste just these file names ? Or something similar ?

    You could use the good old DOS command: DIR *.* > MYFILES.TXT or maybe something like this: http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptdirprn.asp ?
