  1. The audio is fine on the Droid. But when I put them into Movie Maker and My Videos there is no sound. I've checked volume levels. And the "sample" in My Videos plays fine. Music I add in LMM works ok. I've updated all my drivers. HP All-In-One Desktop, Win 7, 64 bit. Does anyone know where to look from here ?

Do you hear any sound if you play it in windows media player?
What is the video details? Is it a 3gp or mp4 with what video and audio codec? Use mediainfo if you don't know.

But you can try convert it to an avi with mp4camtoavi (mp4) or Mobile 3GP converter (3gp) and then import the avi in windows movie maker and see if it works any better.

  3. Your steps I've followed so far : I do not hear sounds when played in Windows Media Player. They are 3gp. Regarding video and audio codec >> I went to medianfo and had trouble using it. When I clicked on "codec/video identifiers" it took me nowhere.

Have not yet tried converting with Mobile 3gp converter. I'll wait for your further input before I try to figure that out. Interesting point : two days ago I installed Divx Plus software and got the sound on the videos. But a day later it was no longer working.

You should download mediainfo and open the 3gp and see what it says under audio.

But you can try install a decoder. Maybe reinstall divx plus or try ffdshow and see if you can get any audio in wmp and then also movie maker.

  5. I downloaded medianfo. Under AUDIO, medianfo gives this for the g3p : " English, 12.8 Kbps, 8000 Hz, 13 bits, 1 channel, AMR (Narrow band)".
I have not yet reinstalled divx Plus. Should I opt for the PRO version for $9.99 ? Or the free one ? Any idea why the original install (free) stopped working after one day ?

  6. I read some negative feedback on divx Plus, so I decided to give ffdshow a try. Installed it and there's still no audio. Tried search for programs and files, to see if I could access it somehow. The only option was to uninstall it.
