  1. I am new at this and I have some questions for someone that could answer them for me. I have a LG surround sound DVD/Blue Ray Player that is not playing any of my DVD/Blue Rays. I have reset the unit and cleaned it out. Every once in a while when i reset the unit it will play a DVD. Also i would like to know if i am in the right place to ask these questions.

Today's players aren't built to last. Consumers don't like to hear it, but it's true. The market demands low prices, which means that cheaper and often inferior components get used during production. Not to mention that today's players tend to be thin and thin players need a lot of free air space to air cool. Heat damage can happen when players are placed in a typical poorly ventilated "entertainment center", especially when you pile up other things near it. Your player needs a repair. It's up to you to figure out if it's worth a repair or if you should just buy a new one.
