Helloo. I just got the Diamond Video Capture VC500 so I could conert my old VHS tapes. I was running it and after an hour of recording, the file was only 40MB. I know something was wrong when I saw that. Isn't it supposed to be like 20GB for that long? I was also wondering what settings I should use. Should I record directly to DVD or record in WMV, then use Sony Vegas and convert them then? This is the first time I am convering VHS to DVD so I am really confused. Thanks.

Yes, it should be much bigger than just 40mb for one hour.

What software are you using to capture? What video codecs can you choose from?
