My video recorder is connected to my Sanyo CE21FN1-B TV via a scart lead. It has suddenly begun to play in black and white only, through both AV1 and AV2 sockets. It plays in normal colour through a dedicated programme number. I have three video recorders, and five scart leads: all produce the same effects; but all videos play perfectly through the scart sockets of a different TV. However, my Sky box and my DVD recorder still play in colour through both scart sockets on the Sanyo.
Does this make sense to ANYONE?

Your entire post makes NO sense. Try your explanation again.

Your VCR scart should be plugged into AV2 socket of your TV. On the TV's remote, press the "menu" button then "setting" then AV2, and see whether the input is set to S-Video or Video. Whatever it's set to, try the other one.

This thread is in the wrong forum - it's nothing to do with "Latest Video News".
Same goes for the next one too:

Hello, and many thanks to all those who have been scratching their heads. I have discovered the (simple!) solution:
my DVD player and Sky box can both be set to transmit colour as PAL or NTSC; the video player responds to the tape it is playing and transmits in one or the other accordingly, but cannot be programmed to one or the other by the user; and the Sanyo TV remote’s ‘Call’ button will select systems on each AV channel, cycling through PAL – SECAM – NTSC4.43 – NTSC3.58 – AUTO. Somehow these had simply all got out of sinc.
