  1. How can this be done?

I am currently using handbrake for all my rip needs.

My workout dvd's have an option on the main menu you can choose to NOT play background music during the workout.
I want to be able to rip the DVD this way, but so far I am unsuccessful.
I have tried the different audio sources, but they all seem the same.

Should I be using a different program? Should I be looking for something in particular hidden in the DVD files?

just fyi in case you want to know why I am doing this...I am putting all my workout dvd's on my media server to stream downstairs where we are working out now, and will have our own music to play along (that generic background music is dreadful)

Wouldn't the easiest way to do this be to select any default audio tracks under the "Audio" tab and click "Remove"? I haven't tried it, but I don't know any reason why Handbrake wouldn't respect that choice...

How about actually "ripping" the DVD first with something like DVDFabDecrypter, or even DVDShrink maybe? Handbrake is a converting program.....not a ripping program.
