can anyone help i looking for a firmware update for the liteon hbs112 bluray burner is this available

According to Liteon's website(found via a simple 13 second Google search), there is no firmware update for this drive. Who told you there was an update for it and what did you expect the firmware to fix?

thanks any way i was 99% sure there wasnt one but just wanted to check anyway the reason being i had a lg bh10ls30 burner when i burnt a bluray movie it would only play on the lg stand alone player and not the sony stand alone but i upgraded the firm ware yesterday for the lg burner and tried it on the sony and it played so i thourght it would probably work for the liteon burner if i would find the firmware

ahhh...so much kindness

i have the same drive and i believe these lite-on br drives are proprietary(i could be wrong but i myself have searched high and low)....theres not an update and probably wont be one. My drive does excellent with verbatim discs

thanks thats made my day the old firmware was cl04 they now play on my sony stand alone
