  1. Hello, I'd like to know if there is a simple way to change the audio format of a video file without changing the video format, as the audio of said file seems to be incompatible with my WD TV. The video is mkv, audio 6 channel AC-3. Thank you.

    avidemux, open mkv, under video choose copy, under audio choose for example mp3, save as a new mkv

  3. OK, I tried it, but when I save the file it saves as an archive and can't play it. What happened?

    Archive? In Avidemux there is no default extension. Just do the operation again and give it a full name (eg. movie.mkv)
    or just add teh mkv extension to your earlier effort.
