I see on several sites (ebay, Amazon, etc.) some used and apparently refurbished listings for Panasonic AG-1970 and Ag-1980 VCR's, along with other 'AG' series listings. We've all seen the $100 listings for this expensive stuff (I avoid those), but occasionally you see some rather expensive $500-up listings for high-end gear with claims that the unit has been "fully serviced" or otherwise renewed.
One case in point is a recent listing from Southern Advantage for AG-1980's in a price range from 500 to 800 bucks and higher. I don't think I've ever noticed a "cheap" listing from this particular outfit. They claim the units are in good working order (*almost every listing makes that claim!), but these usually come with a warranty of a year or more, and a price to match. I seem to have found Southern Advantage mentioned in this forum a couple years back, but not since. Has anyone experienced dealings with this outfit?
