  2. I didn't thinkg the VCD format even included Macrovision or any other form of copyright protection.

I have only needed to transfer a VCD to a VHS tape once and I had no problem but it is unfair of me to say that since I have my DVD Player connected through a SIMA Color Corrector box.

Still, I don't think this should be a problem.

You say you have no problem copying a DVD to VHS... what exactly is the problem you are experiencing while transferring a VCD?

Oh yeah, by the way... turn off your "Caps Lock" your shouting.

  4. I'm glad I actually read this topic, it just look way too stupid and couldn't think of an idiot to ask it. But you not stupid, just missing some info. VCD aren't protected so the macrovision connecter is useless with vcds. The problem is that your VCD is in PAL video format. So there is 2 things you can do:

    1. switch the video out of the dvd player to NTSC (dpends if you dvdplayer is capable of doing that)

    or

    2. Re-encode to vcd into NTSC video format. (You can use the encoder on the tools page to do so)

That's all you have to do is one of these things and you should have no problem.
