I bought a new computer this week. I installed Media player classic home cinema, CoreAVC and cccp. The video playback is pixelated when I go fullscreen (nearest neighbor). I tried all of the renderers. Some of them are not pixelated, but they play so badly that the image is always freezing (EVR, Haali...), the sound occasionaly stops too. All of the VMR renderer are pixelated. Overlay mixer is the one that works best, but the colors are somewhat dull and I can't save images with it (I need this option). Strangely, windows media player plays perfectly, but I can't take screenshots and on some videos, it doesn't use CoreAVC (I use some important options like setting the ouput range to 0-255). So, after hours of searching, I thought that the best thing I could do, is to use the same renderer than windows media player, but I don't know which one it is, and I don't know if I can use it in media player classic. I also tried to disable CUDA accelaration in CoreAVC, and it does nothing.
I had winXP before, and everything was right. I also got the latest driver for my hardware.
Here is my setup:
Core i3 3.4 GHz
Gigabyte nvidia 210
8 GB of ram
1920x1200 monitor
Can someone help me?
Thanks!

Are you taking screenshots with print-screen? You must then turn of overlay/hardware acceleration(you can open two video players and the second one wont usually use overlay)
And disable windows 7 built in decoders with preferred filter tweaker and you might be able to get coreavc working in wmp.
You can also try potplayer, a new very good player with lots of settings. -
Thanks for reply! I use the save image function in media player classic, not with the print-screen key. I tried prefered filter tweaker and I did put CoreAVC everywhere. But there is no change in wmp. I don't understand because these videos play with CoreAVC in media player classic...
Getting rid of cccp won't change anything in this case, it is not used with these videos.
Still, the best thing would be to solve the problem in media player classic... Seems really complicated. -
"The video playback is pixelated when I go full screen"
Forget that and play the files at their native resolution ... blowing them up to suit your screens resolution is part of the pixelation problem.
New computer ... do-sent always mean "current updated drivers" ... the first thing that should be done before installing user crapware is to check online with hardware vendors and make sure you are using the latest drivers ... and beware ... even they can have issues and its wise to check there forums for users with complaints and solutions.
Throw the system comparison out the window ... only valid when systems are duplicates using same hardware, os and drivers.
Only then do we address the remaining issues.
Nvidia 210 has 48 cuda cores ... seriously that's sad ... 96 cuda cores are generally the minimum for full cuda experience ... while the card can do the job its only at half pace.
Take a look at this link in relation to setting up ffmpeg for decoding avc/h.264 only in media player classic home cinema ... just give it a test and see if there's any improvement ... it should help narrow down where the fault is. -
Thanks Bjs, but like I said, my problem is solved. I know that I don't have an high video card, but (I think) that it should have nothing to do with this because on my old computer (core 2 duo 2.13, with a nvidia card that had no video hardware acceleration) I played those video with no glitch at all, even 1080p video, with CoreAVC. I also tried this computer with my current video card and it was fine. So having a new computer that blows away my older one, and not be able to achieve the same results is not normal. But now it seems ok. I will take a look at your links anyway, it seems interesting.

When I first started using WIN 7 ... I too was not happy with what I was seeing when I played videos ... as compared to WIN XP ... and I do use quite a few different media video players. Eventually after changing my resolution a few times and Nvidia updates ... I finally got a decent image.
But this was more than a year ago ... I can't really say how I finally fixed the problem. It took awhile ... but it was not pixaleted ... it was very very fine tearing [kind of] ... that I could see when I was in WIN 7 but if I rebooted into WIN XP ... the same videos looked very nice and smooth and sharp. -
I did tried to change it, but with no success. Anyway, uninstalling k-lite solved the problem. But now, I got another "small" problem. If I enable CUDA acceleration in CoreAVC, it is slower than disabling it. I did not had this problem with my old computer. It is not that important, now that I can play videos normally.
