hi, im trying to encode with virtualdub.
my problem is that when im encoding 1 pass encode the subtitles are just as i set them in the textsub 2.3 filter.
when im encode 2-pass (xvid) the subtitles arent in the psition and the size ive set them in the filter :S
as i see it seems to be at the default size and position - iencode the 2-pass with *dont run this job now -> job control.
ive check now - when im running 2-pass encoding without job control its seems to be good.
what can be the problem?

Nope, no idea but try virtualdub forum, http://forums.virtualdub.org/

*dont run this job now -> job control
I suggest you switch to virualdub if it is.
Set up job control for pass 1 and then pass 2.
THEN start job control (F4). -
im using virtualdub, one more little thing maybe im wrong with that - im setting the first pass job, and for the 2nd job i should use the original video right?

FWIW, I am often adding SOFT subtitles to xvid avi files using AviAddXSubs.exe. It is the only solution I have found that would let me stream files with soft subtitles on a PS3, and this application is extremely fast and works beautifully.
It may bother you to have another step in your process, but it's so fast that I don't see it as an issue.
Naturally, you need the srt text format for your subtitles. -
