My point was that the things TSJNachos mentioned have already been invented and are in most equipment you can get now. Legally mandated or not. The MPAA and RIAA have been working behind the scenes to get all those things. And they won't stop lobbying for them until every bit of audio and video are locked down.
Oh I forgot Cinavia which has now crept in many devices: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinavia

@Baldrick
I tested both downloads. I'm in the province of Ontario Canada. The USA site started up closer to it's full speed which was around 568 MB/sec - 580 MB/ sec but it also jumped up and down as high as 708 MB/sec for short bursts. The other download started slow at 35 MB/sec and built up to 560 MB/sec after it reached about 14MB of the file. It remained fairly constant at 560 MB/sec after that.
If the USA was to adopt those laws VH might be blocked in Canada too because some traffic is routed through USA servers. All it takes is one complaint that need not be justified. Even if your servers are outside America you'd still lose all your USA and Canadian users if they blocked the site. The law would also kill sites such as Youtube, Google and most video, audio, software related sites. The major ISP will suffer customer losses because we won't need a very fast connection for what will be left of the internet. Many of us will just cancel our high speed accounts and switch to dial-up or nothing at all.There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

My point is that the marketplace rejected the self-destructing discs, even as a form of rental, and would probably do so again. There is really no point in marketing something like that in the future. Legal streaming services are already displacing disc rentals in areas that have widespread access to high-speed Internet service.
I don't have a problem with my cable service preventing me from recording pay-per-view and paid on-demand services. It is no worse in that respect than renting discs or using a legal Internet-based streaming service. I wouldn't like being unable to keep a copy of the ordinary cable TV shows I record, but I would learn to live with it. The present situation, even with anti-copy measures, is still much better than the way it used to be years ago, and can meet the needs of most people in the US, who only want to time-shift.
My opinion on the the proposed laws regarding the Internet is they are unrealistic and impractical.Last edited by usually_quiet; 19th Jan 2012 at 16:13. Reason: left out a word

RE: FCC
Remember that all the rules for ATSC OTA and cable are set for review and revision in 2012. This includes requirement that cable provides a duplicate analog channel for "must carry" stations. The K Street lobbyists will be in high gear pressing interests on all sides. I'd expect most of the public hearings will be delayed until after the election in November.
Part of the FCC review will be setting standards for ATSC v2 services and tuners.

"God knows how much money we've given to Obama and the Democrats and yet they’re not supporting our interests," one studio head told Deadline.
According to the Center for Responsive Politics, the TV and Movie industry donated more than $9 million to Obama's 2008 election campaign.

Thanks for all testing.
I have now ordered a new server located in netherlands with leaseweb. Hopefully should I be able to replace all my 3 OOOLD servers with one. Or else will I add cheap download only server.
I will make a new thread when it's time for the server move.
