What would happen to a subtitle of a movie in mkv format if I split it using MKVToolnix software?
By the way the subtitle is not hard embedded to the video.

With "soft-embedded subs" it should be all right I presume - as the subtitles are spread out all over the file, close to video/audio. Try it
