The .mov files are 1080p from Canon Elph 310HS and using Win 7. I'm using the Total Media Extreme which is included free with Happauge HDPVR1212, for making AVCHD movie in DVD. It says I need to install Quicktime which I did but still no go. I wonder if there is a way to do it. I can convert it to MP4 or MPG2 with nice transitions and effects (in HD also) which TME can read but that is additional work and time.

I also doubt that these .mov files can be played in Western Digital HD Media Player.

    Thanks.

I have those two programs installed already so I guess I'm stuck with converting them to MP4 or MPG2 using the free Wondershare. No biggy as conversion is fast. Or I will search for Quicktime movies converter that can create AVCHD on DVD in one process.

I tried it first on Windows 7-64 bit then on XP-32 bit where the Haali and ffdshow were installed. It's dual boot.

  6. Under 64 bit Windows 64 bit programs and 32 bit programs run in different environments. 64 bit programs requires 64 bit codecs and filters, 32 bit programs require 32 bit codecs and filters. The two environments can't see each other's components.

The Arcsoft software that comes with the Hauppauge HD PVR is very limited. It's really there to get you to upgrade to the full product.
