Subtitle Glitch

I'm converting a couple show with subtitles, which shows up perfectly except for a couple lines. They show up messed up like in the image. Any idea what's causing it and how to fix it? Btw, I'm using Xvid4PSP 5.x to convert to MP4 from MKV.

Try fix the subtitles with subtitle edit, try the "Fix common errors wizard" and Merge short lines/split long lines.

So using that, whatever fixes the program comes up with do it? Would it also mess with the syncing with the video/audio?

Is there a chance that decreasing the font size would fix the issue?

Ok I tried it..but after changing the line that has that error by adding a break, and saved, the subtitles totally disappear...
it doesn't show at all.
