Are polypropylene pockets safe for long duration storing of CD/DVD recordable media?

polypropylene is a plastic used for making things boxes and containers. i think you may want to search for tyvek sleeves, made from polyethylene.

Be careful. With some of the stuff coming from China you never know what these things are truly made and how safe they are despite the packaging. I once bought a 100 disc binder and the plastic in the sleeves actually reacted with the plastic on the recorded side of the disc where it had made contact. There was noticeable "fogging" after about 1 year - on both recordable media and commercial discs. Fortunately the discs were still readable and I was able to make new copies. Other binders I had no problems with.

Exactly... You never know what you'll get. One time its good, next time not so ....
Chances are those pockets will be fine. All I'm saying is to keep an eye on things from time to time to avoid any surprises.. -
