Hi all,

I have to add subtitles for my video and after experiencing with them I ran into a problem. I need to have a decent outline and shadow and therefore I use Titles & text media to accomplish that, although this is not the usual way of adding subtitles. I will have them hard-coded that's not a problem. Problem is that I use Vegas 11 with Titles & text media but my friend who is helping with the subtitles works on Vegas 8 and it doesn't have the titles & text media. I tried usual text media, but it is not working properly in Vegas 11 (cannot recognize the size of the video clip). Is there a 3rd party plugin for Vegas that works in different versions of Vegas to make nice subtitles with an easy workflow?

Also, I'm using DVD Architect as an authoring program, but it has a limited support for subtitles, no shadow for example, so therefore I would go for hard-coding them in Vegas. But if there's a better program out there for authoring or another workflow to try to get subtitles with above effects from Vegas to a dvd, I would like to try it out.
