  1. I joined two avi files together ( two parts to the same movie) - using avidemux - this seems to have worked okay - I got a single playable avi file - however.
I used another program - subtitle workshop - to join the two srt files together into a single srt file - that file looks normal.
Problem: when I play the movie the subtitles only work for the first half of the movie (up to the join point) - then no subtitles on the second part no matter if I use the joined srt file or the original second srt file.
So it looks like something in the Avidemux setup that I did wrong.

    Any ideas?

Fixed how? Did you join incorrectly with subtitle workshop?

(It might help other who search for same problem)

  3. In SW I missed a switch called - "recalculate time values" - this is not selected by default - seems like it should be if you are joining multiple srt files anyway?

anyway that fixed it and gives the multiple srt files one continous time progression.
