I want to download a Youtube video. Problem is I want the overlayed "annotations" included in the video. Is there a way to do this other then using screen capture software?

Yes, it's possible to download them as srt.

    http://google2srt.sourceforge.net/en/
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/youtube-caption-downloader/ together with firefox
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/50003 together with google chrome or firefox with greasemonkey

and then can you burn in them in the video with virtualdub, avidemux, freemake video converter.

I will try the software. I wanted the graphics and text though. Also your second link is not working.

It looks like those tools just get captions. I think my video's graphical overlays are different.

Okey, I was first thinking of just captions. Annotationsare a bit different and I don't see how any tool could download the video and burn in the annotations directly...except a screen capture software as you mention.
