mp4 video with srt subs on ps3?

I've searched the net for this question but all I can find is YAMB and AviAddXSubs.

I'm able to embed the srt sub into the mp4 but it doesn't seem to play on the ps3.
With Aviaddxsubs i can create a idx/sub files but the ps3 doesn't seem to recognise it and it doesn't create a new video. Apperently it only works for avi.

Any way to let the ps3 play mp4 files with subs besides hardcoding?

Nope, the PS3 will only play hardcoded subtitles.
