  1. I tried to render 1 min from vegas to avi with lagarith rgb, and it took 9 minutes and the resulted file has 3 gb. Is this normal ?

It takes 1.4 gb for 1 min of video with lagarith yv12, that means I need 70 gb for the whole 50 min project...

What is the video resolution/frame size? Lossless video is HUGE.

  3. 720x576@25fps, but I'll use DebugMode FrameServer, to avoid those huge lossless files. I was trying to avoid frameserving because it overloads my hard drive, even though the priority of the encoder process is set to low, and I was afraid that I might damage the hdd. But I will not do anything else on the pc while the frameserver and encoder run, maybe hdd will not be overloaded too much.
