  1. I`ve been searching for a program for a long time that could expand the whole subtitle to desired length but I couldn't find it yet.
The problem is I have a video file whose length is e.g. V=03:00:00, A=03:00:00, S=02:45:05
It`s not the case that subtitles are either incomplete or 1/3. They are just fine but the timings are not ok, it starts correct in the movie but ends much before the movie ends, it`s like subtitles are in a hurry. I cannot sync each subtitle timings in subtitles workshop because the movie length is 03:00:00, so it would take like forever
the problem is just like this
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- V=3H
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A=3h
---------------------------------------------------------S=02:45:05 (How to expand the whole sub to 3H automatically)

I had the same problem with the audio in another movie e.g. V=3H, A=2.5H so I fixed the timing to 3H with audacity change tempo option
Now I have a problem with sub & I couldn`t find any software
    Waiting for a help
    Guys! just help me out

  2. If you have text subtitles, such as .srt, install Subtitle Workshop 4 beta 4

Load the subtitle file. Load the video. Get the time when the first sub should start, and the last, by playing the video and moving the slider. In Edit Menu use Timings, Subtitle. Set the times you found for the first and last sub. It should proportionately adjust the timings for the entire video. When you set the times hit the Adjust Button. Then save the subtitle by clicking the Diskette icon in the Toolbar. Try it with a software player. It works much better than you think (if the subs are for the right version of the video of course.)

Don't try to "cheat" by just adjusting the first sub. They will start out in sync but will drift out of sync as the video goes along. By adjusting the first and last you can get them very close to dead on.

All of the above assumes you are running on a Windows PC.

Yes Subtitle Workshop can do this.
I prefer the 2.5 version which is being updated again. Version 4 was a false start.

Anyway, syncing is explained in detail in the manual. The "two point" method described by MilesAhead is the simplest, but you can use more if necessary. The manual also explains how to do it very quickly using the 3 "sync" buttons" above the text area.

Also you can have it guess the durations if they're too short or long (it uses the number of characters in each sub).
