which camera or software use to capturing frame by frame still photo series and create a motion animation ?
here is the link as a example.

That's not a simple still photo series, although it probably started off as one.
What you need is a camera with an "intervalometer" function.
That sample you posted was structured as 2D stills in a 3D environment. Some of the stills are full shots, others are cutouts.
The principle is based on camera behavior. When you zoom with the lens ring, the background zooms too. When you zoom by "dollying", only the foreground zooms.
Also, as you change perspective by dollying, the foreground moves much faster than the background.
So if you arrange stills at different depths in z-space, when the camera rotates an illusion of 3D appears.
And that's just the basic idea. Doing something like that sample requires tremendous art talent and creativity. That's the hardest part to duplicate.Last edited by budwzr; 28th Dec 2011 at 07:27.

Here's a VERY rough idea:
The boat moves faster because it's closer in z-space. The panning is the same rate on both tracks. There's no "animation" other than panning the boat/background composite. The boat speed is proportional to the z-depth. If the boat is moved to the same depth as the rock, no motion would occur.Last edited by budwzr; 28th Dec 2011 at 08:43.

This was discussed in another thread - it requires 3dmatchmoving/motion tracking software, plus VFX compositing software like nuke
It's usually done by using a mechanical rigged shot, where the camera move is setup to shoot a clean background plate (no actors) , and then at least one or more times using the same rig so it traverses the exact same path for those subsequent shoots, usually with actors holding still . This way you have a cleaner VFX matchmove afterwards (sinc you have a clean BG plate). Some still elements are composited in afterwards

They make it look so easy, hahaha.
I wonder if a particle generator can do the popcorn flying around.Last edited by budwzr; 28th Dec 2011 at 12:14.

Hi guys thanks for the replying.
regarding stop motion scenes which software use it for tracking control, i've tried " bonjour camera tracking " with " 3d Studio Max ".
but some time problem to exporting camera script. anything else you think to making stop motion scene ?
think to do with " video copilot match moving " -
also i think there is possible to use multiple cameras, synchronize them, capture exactly in same time picture, then with help of additional post-processing, probably 3D graphics too, create kind of hybrid scene (some interpolated, some rendered, some captured) - with high spatial and temporal resolution quality should be more than OK.

yes, the multiple camera approach is the approach used for the matrix and similar movies

Shooting it rigged with multiple takes is 100x better than doing it after the fact in post, because you already have a clean plate. If you only have 1 shot you can matchmove and composite 3d elements, but you are much more limited in what you can do, but you might end up doing lots of manual roto work depending on your desired effect -
IOOW, this kind of art form is a culmination of many different techniques that if you're not familiar with, you have about a zero chance to duplicate it. You can't "buy in" to this. It's like "plasma welding" in the art world. It's only a sheet of copper and a torch, right?
It's not the tools, it's the technique
