Let me start from the beginning...
Yesterday I had gotten off work and was going to play the new Star Wars: The Old Republic game. But, I noticed that I had a Windows Update notification at the bottom right of my screen, so I clicked it and it told me I had 1 required update, and 3 optional updates.
The main update was:
- Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 3 for x64-based Systems (KB973685)
The optional updates were:
-Samsung - Display - SyncMaster P2770H/P2770FH (Digital)
-Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Display, Other hardware - AMD Radeon HD6570
-Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2607576)
So my thoughts are: "Okay, I can update windows and get these others, I have time." So I start to install the updates.
After my computer resets, and tells me that the updates were successful, I felt that I wanted to watch the new video on Thatguywiththeglasses.com.
But, instead of getting a good picture, I got this:
(The right is what it should be, the left is what it was.) It was really blurry, and the colors are somewhat blended onto each other. I've been calling it a 'Cell-Shaded' effect.
I tried other videos; I even tried videos on my computer, but they all have this weird effect.
My Star Wars game runs fine still, so it has to be something with my video (both Media Player Classic, and Adobe Flash Player).
So, I uninstalled the update (Well, what I could uninstall, anyways), and re-installed it (no effect).
I reinstalled my drivers on my graphics card (no effect).
I reinstalled my Codec CCCP (no effect).
I reinstalled Adobe Flashplayer (no effect).
I don't even know how to word this problem, or I'd do more extensive searching and research (like I usually do with my computer issues), but this time it's to a point that I cant even pinpoint a problem to look into.
Thank you for your time! Any help or links would be greatly appreciated!

just a guess...
it seems like monitor display / video card drivers is messed-up.
-Samsung - Display - SyncMaster P2770H/P2770FH (Digital)
-Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Display, Other hardware - AMD Radeon HD6570
try to roll back video / display drivers, if you can.
if you can not, try to install display monitor and video card drivers from OEM manufacturer. -
Doug looks like a Mii!
Try turning off Flash's hardware acceleration and see what happens. It almost looks like some sort of solarize or art filter is turned on. -
Yep, I cant find where to roll back those two specific drivers/update (I even looked at the windows live update log of updates, and the uninstall section, they weren't there...) I messed around with CCleaner to locate them, but with no luck.
I downloaded the drivers from their websites, nothing changed.
Tried this as well, nothin'. My videos do this, even with my .avi/.mkv files on my computer, they all have this weird color effect for video playback. But, pictures and games are fine. -
can you remove CCCP completely with all installed files from all possible locations and clean-up CCCP registry settings.
once un-installed completely. play same clips in WMP.
if WMP pops-up with a warning for missing-codec, try installing codec individually like xvid/divx, ac3, haali, coreavc but not the pack.
this is the last option.
if problems remains same then start all over again....long way to go... -
Your graphics card's driver has video filtering enabled. It's set to too much noise reduction and edge enhancement or sharpening. Turn those features off in the setup applet.
-
Wow, I didn't notice in my graphic card's settings that my Edge-enhancement, De-noise, Mosquito Noise Reduction, and De-blocking were turned WAAAAAY up. there was also a 'use settings on internet video' button enabled, so, no wonder it was effecting everything.
I feel silly now, thanks for all your help!
