  1. Hi, I'm quite a newbie. I've been using an Azden WR / WM-PRO lav mic to do a video. Works pretty well.. but now I'd like to do a podcast.

I like the sounds of these lav mics, but I'd like to have a third person. Ignorantly purchased 3 of them thinking they would be on different channels.

So here's where I'm at. It seems the best thing to do is just purchase a Snowball for any guests. The other issue is that I've not been monitoring the sounds. I suppose if I were to do things right I'd get:

    3 headphones

    Headphone amp - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0010BWLMS?ie=UTF8&tag=onmasbl-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1...SIN=B0010BWLMS

    Proper mics - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000Z7LLQ0?ie=UTF8&tag=onmasbl-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1...SIN=B000Z7LLQ0

    A mixer - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000J5Y214?ie=UTF8&tag=onmasbl-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1...SIN=B000J5Y214
(though this mixer wouldn't handle the Snowball I assume)

I also own a BlueBird condenser mic (with a pop filter) that I use with a Apogee ONE pre-amp to record onto Logic. I could use that instead of a Snowball.

The main thing is how to get all this stuff to work together. I'm was looking at a video on Audio Hi-Jack and Soundflower for recording, but I have Garageband and Logic (could install Mainstage).

At the end of the day I'd like to have a video podcast, but just with photos I lay over the audio track. I don't want to spend a lot of time editing and I'm just getting started so I'm looking to keep my budget as low as possible while using the top low-budget items.

    Suggestions are all welcome!
    Chris
