  1. Have just tried to use TMPGEnc to convert from a vcd to mpeg2 for dvd.
Used their settings format for dvd pal.
After half of it it crashed so when i just checked it with windows media player the audio is about twice the speed of the film and therefore out of sequence .
Anyone got any hints or tips???????????

  2. You don't have to convert to MPEG2, but there is a process.
    Here's the guide:

  4. Please read the link in my last post.
This is how to take a VCD and burn it on a DVD-R.
DVD does use MPEG-1. Check out some of the supplemental material on movies. A lot of them are MPEG-1 encoded.

  6. Don't know about ps2...you'll have to search the site (search function works well - more info here than you'd ever want to read) 8)

  7. DVD specs include the vcd specs. All you have to change is the audio to 48 khz. If the ps2 is a dvd player (which it claims to be) then it should play all video in the dvd specs. If it doesn't play then you should take it up with Sony!
