Today I looked in the Editing forum and there were quite a few posts related to Sony Vegas.

I immediately realized that more and more people are moving into NLE's, Vegas in particular, in an effort to learn new things and further their abilities beyond simple cutting and splicing.

I think the VideoHelp forums are a great place to share and learn, and as more members transition into the newer technologies it's gonna get even better around here.

Maybe one day we can all collaborate and make an official VideoHelp video for YouTube. Wouldn't that be fun?

So Happy Holidays, and Happy editing for 2012!

I think I still have the tgpo videos we did.

I helped some of the voice work you know

Ah the good old days. I have to dig those up. I hope I still have them.

Any bets that they are on youtube already?

edit - oh and HAPPY HOLIDAYS as well

    Edit 2 - Here's the links:

    https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/185357-The-Videohelp-Animation-Video-%28It-Has-Begu...ght=tgpo+video

I didn't do the animation and didn't claim too just one part with the voice work

Edit 3 - woah check out the ye olde users in that thread. Talk about old times.....

Edit 4 - Crap! Then download links are dead! I'll have to search the thread to see if there were any more recent links that are still active.

Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

I know this is kind of off-topic but do you happen to still have your most recent version of Divx Tool for OS X laying around, please?
"Bust a cap" means different things--depending on whether you're a gangsta or an electrician. :D

I've got the DVD here at work. I'll start uploading and posting likes as they are ready.

I probably have it on one of my old "Video Apps" dvds. I'll look around and see what I can dig up.

That's pretty cool. When was it made? What tools were around at that time?

2004. I chiseled them on stone tablets before converting them to cave paintings.

I remember you, Smurf, from a few years back, you mellowed out a lot now.

When I first joined I got blasted for crossposting, but not by you, and I was a total newb so I got traumatized, hahaha, and ended up digging through the old posts to learn.

I remember Manono too, he seemed to me to be the most knowledgable so I read a lot of his posts too, and on the AutoGK forums. AutoGK became my tool of choice because I didn't know diddly, and it "just worked". If I hadn't switched to H.264, I'd still be using AutoGK because it's just such a great piece of software, simple as it is, but excellent at what it does.

Then, as I ventured into NLE's, I left VideoHelp in search of more editing-specific sites. What I found was a bunch of broadcast editors dominating the conversations with too much emphasis on the technicalities, and short on the creativity, and they were still stuck in Mpeg2 land.

So I went lone wolf for a long time, and now I've come full circle, hehehe.

What I like here now, is the mods are much more tolerant, and you can make a joke here and there and nobody gets all kerfuffled.
