  1. I can't get my Media Center to download the tv guide. It has been working fine for 2 years and all of a sudden I can't get any new guide downloads. It says the internet connection fails and I get an error code 13 but my connection is fine.
Any thoughts on what is happening?

    Uninstall then reinstall Media Center.

This happened to me a few months ago on a Win 7 64 bit PC. I looked into it and if I remember correctly with some ISPs there was some kind of payment issue involved that was causing this. Sorry that I don't remember the details but it's a payment issue between the ISPs and the people with tv data, not you and your ISP. I could be wrong but I do think it is highly unlikely that edDV's suggestion will fix your problem. I truly don't know if this problem ever got fixed for me or not as I stopped using that PC to record after I found out that my iMac is capable of directly recording from my cable box via firewire. I used to use that firewire method on an older PC running XP but that PC is dead now and there are no 64 bit Windows firewire cable box drivers, so that's the only reason I was using Media Center to record. The firewire method is much preferable for me, but my needs may be different from yours.

  5. I tried another ISP. I took my computer to work and used AT&T internet...same result.

I also tried the other solutions from Microsoft and downloaded a patch but it said it wasn't for my system!

It says it was for a Vista 64-bit system but a pop-up says differently.

I have a Windows 7 upgrade cd and may try to install that. Maybe that will work.

    Thanks all.
