I noticed that Videopack 4 does not have the capability of burning discs in DAO mode. I have read in a few places the VCDs should always be burned in DAO mode. Incidentally, the VCDs I make with Videopack work perfectly in all my DVD players and PC.
I have exported the Videopack VCD image and then burned it with DAO using WinonCD, but then the VCDs have problems that the VCDs produced directly from videopack do not. They seem to work fine in my DVD players, but when I put the disc in my PC the roxio vcdplayer can not play the VCD. It literally hangs my system (CTRL+ATL+DEL doesn't respond).
Does anyone know if the Whitebook spec specifically requires DAO for VCD. Also, do some DVD players have problems with TAO burned VCDs. From my experience, it makes no difference to DVD players.
Thanks,
Niteflighs
