You might try DXVA Checker to see if your system works with DXVA: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Other-VIDEO-Tools/DXVA-Checker.shtml

  4. The Radeon 4650 is capable of DXVA. But you must have drivers that support it and a player that supports it. Make sure you have up to date versions of the drivers and players. DXVA only covers MPEG 2, h.264, and VC-1. Other codecs will not be able to use DXVA. And finally, DXVA doesn't support all h.264 features. So even with everything set up properly some video files will still have problems.

  6. Be sure you have the DXVA decoders enabled in MPCHC.

  8. Put checkmarks in them. I don't use them because some files don't play properly via DXVA and my CPU is fast enough. You have to exit MPCHC and restart it for the change to take effect.

Be sure you are using an output device that supports DXVA. View -> Options -> Playback -> Output. Try the EVR devices.

And you must be using source filters and splitters that support DXVA. I recommend you use MPCHC's internal source filters whenever possible. View -> Options -> Internal Filters -> Source Filters.

When it's working you should be able to see DXVA on the status line:
