  1. Have a Panasonic DMR-EZ45 (DVD/VHS Combo) and have been very pleased with it. Now the Freeview channels have vanished off the system and I can't record anything. When I check 'Signal Condition' the item is greyed out in the menu and can't be selected (it could be selected before). Also when I do a scan for 'New DVB Services' the system does a quick scan but doesn't find anything. Restoring to 'Default' and 'Factory Condition' doesn't help. Have tried with both scart lead and HDMI connections but no luck. System will play DVD's and videos though still just not record freeview as it can't find any channels. Could ythe Freeview part of the unit have failed and if so is there a fix or is it goodbye for the unit?
    Many thanks

A quick scan is what we call the "bombed out" symptom ... unable to lock on to or detect any dvb signal input ... you need to have all connections from your antenna and its direction checked.

    Thanks for your reply.
There are three connections from the main TV aerial (DVD, TV Nanostick and a digital TV). The TV Nanostick and digital TV are still displaying Freeview programmes. I have removed the main aerial from the DVD and replaced it with an outside portable and I still get the same result as my original post.
    Any advice welcomed.
