Hello. I am currently using XviD4PSP 5 in order to hardsub a Matroska (.MKV) video file, and convert it to mp4. As i am able to successfully import the file in and add the subtitles, there shouldn't be a problem- except sometimes, on certain files Xvid causes the the Video and Audio to not match up properly, so the sound is often times ahead of the video or vice versa. Is this a problem with the Audio, Video, or maybe even the root file?

Upon closer inspection, i found an error message (AvisynthScript) in my temp folder- the error reads as follows:
    import("C:\Program Files (x86)\XviD4PSP 5\dlls\AviSynth\functions\AudioFunctions.avs")
    import("C:\Program Files (x86)\XviD4PSP 5\dlls\AviSynth\functions\VideoFunctions.avs")

    DirectShowSource("C:\Users\Derek\Desktop\[AniYoshi]_School_Days_-_02_[40CFF1D6].mkv", fps=23.976, convertfps=true)

can someone please help me out? I have been using Xvid for a while and find it very useful but lately this has been happening to alot of files and i really want to find a solution. thanks.

What's your source for the video that causes the sync problems? Use mediainfo and post the details.

You can also try ffmpegsource instead of directshowsource in the avisynth script, see http://avisynth.org/mediawiki/FAQ_loading_clips#How_do_I_load_MP4.2FMKV.2FM2TS.2FEVO_i...to_AviSynth.3F . It might work better.

Or can you hardcode subtitles with avidemux or freemake video converter.

Thanks alot. I'll try all of those right away. The source from my file is from a file sharing website (i don't think or hope its not illegal?) and
i downloaded it via a direct download link. There seems to be a problem where the company logo appears before the actual video begins...
and then the audio is out of sync with it.
