    Hey guys!

I am very new to After effect and Twixtor and have been reading up and watching a few tutorial. I am try to achieve a smooth slow motion effect during certain parts of some videos I took.

The set I am using is in the Composition setting I make the duration 30sec (the video to be slowed is only 7sec in total) I then select 'Enable frame blending with all layer', then Layer>Frame Blending>Pixel Motion. I then load the twixtor effect via the effects drop down. Open the twixtor output control menu. The issue I have is when finding the section I want to slow down I place a keyframe mark in the speed section, I then move a few frame and place another marker and change the speed to 20-30, then when I come to scan to the next part of the footage I notice that it has been shortend even though the full video was there originally.

Am I going wrong some where?

  2. Because frames are added, the duration is longer. AE cannot extend the duration of the layer unless you precomp the footage first, or use nested compositions

See the instruction manual and this
