Region Hack for Samsung HTD 4500

Hi,

I would like to find out the procedure to break the region code on Samsung HTD 4500 system ? It is set to region code 1 and I would like to change it to support all region codes

Has anyone tried any hacks which works for this HT 4500 ? I bought a new one without checking for the hacks .....

1. Region hacks for DVD players becoming almost impossible to find.
2. There have only been one or two Blu Ray player hacks, and I think only one of those
hacked both DVD and Blu Ray discs. The handful of hacks usually only involve DVD payback.
3. You are discussing a Blu Ray "home theater system"....I've never seen a hack for a "system"....even for a DVD Player system.

I am interested in breaking the region code for DVD Playback as I need to view a DVD from a different region.Any hints ?

As hech54 has said; if there's no hack listed on this site and Google doesn't return anything useful (I assume you've already searched for a hack), chances are there isn't one.

I was going to suggest you rip the DVDs to your computer, strip out the region flag and burn back to a disc.

But if you're in the US, you're probably going to run into a NTSC/PAL problem with that method.

Sony and Samsung DVD and BluRay players are the most difficult in the world to unlock at present. Unless you bought this player in Australia the odds are about 1% that you will ever be able to unlock it. If you can't find a hack, one doesn't exist. Do note that some hacks only work on players sold in Australia and won't work on the same model sold elsewhere.

If we knew the country thisisfrank is from maybe we can offer some other solutions (like buying a player that will play the disc). Without knowing that it's very difficult to help at all...

Your chance of ever unlocking it is less than 1% then. No joke. I'd put it at maybe 1 in 1000.
