Hi, I am using Pinoys2210's ripping guide, I do fine until I get to the part with TMPGEnc. When I try to put the d2v file in the video source and it doesn't let me. I can find it but when I click on it to use it as the source, it tells me that it cannot open the file.
I'm pretty sure I am following the steps accurately, but maybe I am missing something. If anyone knows what would be causing this, whether it be user error or something else, I would appreciate the help.
I don't know if it makes a difference, but I am running WinXP PRO.
Thanks in advance...

Did you install VFAPI in TMPGEnc? If not, download it from the same place you got TMPGEnc and unzip it to the same folder as TMPGEnc. Then click on "install.bat". I think that is the name of the install file. Also make sure you have not deleted or moved any of the files that were generated during the ripping and frameserving processes.

Thanks, I know I downloaded it, but come to think of it i'm really not sure if i installed it or not, (that would probably help huh). I'm not home right now to check it, but I will and if it doesn't work you will probably see me begging and whining for more help later
Thanks again. Bye for now

Ok, no dice, I completely started over and reinstalled TMPGEnc with the plugin. I ripped the dvd again and started from the beginning. It still gives me the same error it says it "cannot open or is unsupported", any other ideas as to what could be causing this problem????Thanks in advance

I don't know very much about Pinoy's Guide, but if you use DVD2AVI to frame serve, you need to copy DVD2AVI.vfp file from the Directory where you store DVD2AVI and put it in the same directory where you store TMPGenc.
Depending on which version of Tmpgenc you are using, I found out that sometimes you may need to reboot your system before TmpGenc will recognize the .d2v files generated by DVD2AVI. I don't know why, but it just does. -
