How to hardcode .sup subtitle file to a mkv movie?

I ve mkv movies I want to hardcode the .sup subtitle so that i can view on any machine without any problem. I know about mkvtoolnix attaching it but it doesnt work . The only thing i am asking is HARDCODING . Thanks

Isnt there anyway to hardcode the subs without converting to srt . Cause I will be using the subs for 3D and with suprip , it has problem between spacing .

Still valid advice, 5+ years later.

I had a heck of a time getting a MKV with PGS subs hardcoded, but eventually figured it out.

- extracted as .sup with gMKVExtractGUI.v1.9.0
- then added this to Avisynth
- then let Hybrid encode the video, direct from the .avs
- audio from source remuxed with video in MKVToolNix GUI

Done!
