  1. I recently produced a slideshow with ' Windows Movie Maker ' & now require to burn the saved project MSWMM file into a WMV file & then encode & burn to disc so that it can viewed on a normal everyday DVD player ?

Movie Maker allows you to convert the file into a WMV file but I need a seperate converter to encode & finally burn ?

I have used a trial version of " Aimersoft DVD Creator " but it obvioulsy leaves a watermark on the finished product but does work successfully. Is there another ' free ' program out there that does the job ? Nothing fancy as I just need to encode & burn. I don't want to use another slideshow maker program as the big project has already been created in Windows Movie Maker & I would hate to have to start all over again !

I hope someone can help ?

    Cheers,

    MLOR.

WMM can also output as a DV-avi file. It does have some restrictions such as standard DVD resolution and 48Khz audio, but if you're going for a DVD as final format, you would need that anyway. DV>DVD a lot easier to deal with than converting a WMV to DVD.

AVStoDVD is supposed to be able to author a DVD from either DV-AVI or .wmv.

  4. Depending on the version of WMM and the OS on the computer, WMM is capable of burning the DVD natively also. Perhaps no additional software is needed. Check it out. What version of each is on the subject computer?
