  1. I am currently making script, which will automatically reencode mkv files to flv with lower bitrate. I am having problems with files, which contain audio tracks, which were for example taken from DVD and are made for different fps, usually 25. So stretching was used while muxing the original mkv. When I run my script automatically the audio is out of sync as it does not recognize, that the audio was made for 25 fps video instead of 23.967 fps. It works fine when I set at MP4Box manually fps of audio for the flv muxing, but which tool to use to recognize it automatically? Mediainfo shows 23.967 fps for both video and audio, but it should rather show 25 fps for the audio. Is there any tool, which would recognize muxing parameters used while creating the original mkv?

Try mkvinfo (included in mkvtoolnix) and see if it lists some more detailed info.
