  1. Hi !!



    I am not expert.



    I need to trasfer several old videotapes VHS (PAL) in DVD.



    I would like to buy one of these two machine: (used machine)



    Panasonic VCR S- VHS NV HS 1000 EGC

    or

    Panasonic VCR S-VHS NV FS 200 EG



    Both have the TBC , DNR and the function Picture control ....right ??



    can someone let me know which is better ???



    I hope someone can help me..(sorry my english.)

  2. They are both rather old machines now, so the most important difference would be condition: buy the one that seems cleaner and that seems to work nicely. Loading and ejecting a tape should go quickly without any strange sounds. Play, FF, and REW should also work without fuss or any peculiar or very loud noises. And of course, if you can see the units connected to a television to test playback of tapes, you would want the VCR with the clearer picture.

    Keeping all the above in mind, the NV-H1000 is the "better" model, mostly because it is newer and will have the latest electronics and tape mechanicals. However, it is rather rare and parts/repairs may be difficult. The NV-HF200 is much more common and probably the most popular PAL SVHS vcr among European members here: it has an excellent reputation. Both have the TBC and DNR features, and excellent tape handling: I don't think you can go wrong with either model. Buy the one thats in the best overall condition- remember they are both old and may require repairs for hidden problems (repair can be difficult and expensive, so choose the VCR that is working better right now).
