can u rip a DVD without a DVD-ROM??????????

No, a DVD drive is required, since you have to be able to read the DVD in order to rip it, and a regular CD or CD/R/RW drive can't do that.

actually, if you have a capture card you can rip it with that, as long as you have a dvd player, but a dvd-rom is probably the best way to go
