I want a Laptop that will connect to an external Blu Ray writer to burn Blu ray discs. Should a get a laptop with esata/USB or is USB alone enough? What about this device in case I can't find a Laptop with esata/usb that is in my price range: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&sugexp=ppwl&cp=7&gs_id=1b&xhr=t&q=esata+u...ed=0CF4Q8wIwAw
Would this be ok to use?

Get a laptop with esata/USB2 or better esata/USB3

No PC user should be caught dead burning a BD-R on an external blu-ray writer connected via USB even at 1x. USB in all of its versions is all about convenience, and little else. eSATA is mandatory for this purpose; SATA is a native bus, unlike USB (which is not). eSATA finally makes it viable, for example, to do serious video editing with a notebook PC by allowing editors to be able to observe that one mandatory tenet of NLE (two separate native-bus hard drives, one for OS/programs and the other for capture). If you're serious for your purpose, immediately disregard any laptop PC without eSATA.
For the nth time, with the possible exception of certain Intel processors, I don't have/ever owned anything whose name starts with "i". -

turk690: What about this product? It says it burns via USB only. 11 reviews look pretty favorable as well.
I have 1 older laptop with an eSATA port, but it only has an i3 2.1ghtz processor in it. It is a Sony vaio. Is this computer ok to use for Blu Ray Writing? I have 8gb memory.
Also, what Writer/Burner would you recommend for someone with an eSATA port using their laptop to burn Blu ray discs?
