You would just need to follow the same procedure that you would use to hack a CD into a DVD. It's also the same one you'd use to turn a 100GB harddrive into a 1TB drive.

    Heh.

Yah it would probably be easier to hack an Kindle into a MacBook.
Question is why? What are you trying to do?
Murphy's law taught me everything I know.

There's no way to turn a dvd5 into a dvd9,only thing you can do is rip the dvd5 to your harddrive and burn onto a dvd9.

Some production houses use a type of copy protection that could do something like this but it's not available to consumers. I suppose if you were an extremely experienced person who understands DVD format you could fake a DVD-5 into looking like it was DVD-9 size, but such would be beyond the abilities of the vast majority of people. I do not personally know how to do such but we have people here who could probably do it. The commercial copy protection I am talking about actually makes the DVD look gigantic like it holds 40 GB or more of data, which is impossible. I'm sure someone who knows what they are doing could make a DVD-5 look like a DVD-9 in size by similar tactics. Do note that these tricks do not actually change the size of the disc as that is impossible. They exist only to fool old ripping and shrinking programs like DVD Shrink by making them think that they've got ridiculous amounts of data. Is it possible? Yes. It is a realistic goal? No.
